about

Keegan Snaize hail from the wild north of England.

We make an odd kind of pop racket for the most part - using acoustic guitars, close harmonies and anything that looks like it could make a cool noise.

Not afraid to wander convincingly from sultry '40's-style torch songs to distorted howling via folk songs with vivid soundscapes & kooky synth warbles, we follow a pretty idiosyncratic path.

'Portmanteau' is the kind of record that we always wanted to make - full of weird & wonderful pop tunes that will hopefully thrill at first...& then take you on a strange and exciting ride through uncharted lands through subsequent plays.

Track Name: True North
Beneath the shadow of the wave
Right before it breaks
I will take my chances.

This treading water, finding ways
To keep my bones afloat
Has its consequences...

And they'll pull me down again.

So I'm done with all this thinking
I just can't work it out
My compass spins around
And true north's heading south.

I'm falling into feelings
Random, raw & wild
Drifting on the tide
I'll let the sea decide.

Inside the belly of the whale
Sunk without a trace
You will find me dancing.

(And midnight chancing)

Upon his ribs I'll carve the days
Till I get back to shore
Then I'll leave you standing

'Cos I'm not playing games
And I can't wait...

I'm done with all this thinking
I just can't work it out
My compass spins around
And true north's heading south.

I'm falling into feelings
Random, raw & wild
Drifting on the tide
I'll let the sea decide.
